Schoology is a great way to manage your classroom but also a nice way to differentiate. One of the features on schoology allows you to individually assign items to your students. I like to use this in my class because I often assign the kids worksheets to see if they are grasping the material. Just giving the kid the worksheet on schoology is not necessarily fair to all of your students. What I like to do with the "individually assign" button is to give the students worksheet that go along with their reading level. It is the same material and the same questions just written at a level that I know they can comprehend. Since it is individually assigned and also on the computer there is discretion in the fact that you have manipulated the worksheets. The only downfall of this feature is it seems time consuming to individually assign to your students. When you create an assignment there will be a button that looks like 3 circles in the form of a triangle. Once you click on that you simply type in your students names and then click on it once you see their name. You can do more than one student at a time so I would consider grouping your students into levels and then assigning them their assignments that way. Hope this help with differentiating to our lower level readers as well as our advanced readers (:
